has claimed responsibility. the pope led hundreds in prayers this morning for the victims. hillsborough deputies say a drunk driver caused a three car crash in north 15th street. a deputy was stopped in the road when two cars stopped behind them. alfredo rodriguez humana's crashed into one of the stop cars. that car hit another one in front of it which hit the deputy's cruiser. the deputy was not hurt and two people received mi gimenez was be -- arrested. the family of a youngfather now pleading for information about his murder. >> 27-year-old adam hilarie was shot and killed in auburndale. his body was found in his apartment sunday night. it doesn't look like anything was broken but several valuable electronics were stolen. dozens of people gathered for a vigil in his memory last night. they are struggling to understand why anyone would kill him. >> it is pointless to have that in your heart and want to be

how people can be like that. >> if you have information that could solve the murder call auburndale police. a woman in jail accused of hitting a prisoner transport van but also sideswiping an officer and driving over another officer's foot. police were loading prisoners into a van yesterday when this woman. emily spies, struck the woman. she sideswiped the vehicle. they caught up with her at north and bayshore. she's accused of running over an officer's foot as they try to take her into custody. she faces several charges including battery on law enforcement. >> man credited with starting a 90s boy band lou pearlman died in a prison. pearlman was serving a 25 year sentence for the biggest ponzi scheme in florida history. investigators say his transcontinental companies were really a $300 million ponzi

investors and hundreds of people sued him including the backstreet boys. pearlman was 62. a day on the water turns into terror for a family when their boat capsized. this includes two children and they were thrown into the water in the indian river to get two adults and an infant to safety but it was dark and they couldn't find the two-year- old right away. >> reporter: the boat crashed. please somewhat -- send someone out. >> she has a baby in the water. >> a tyler trapped under this boat after it capsized in central florida and incredibly found alive. surviving in an air pocket for

from there they made entry and checked the residence for surviving victims and unfortunately they found four more victims. >> police arrested derek dearman in connection. he knew at least one of the victims and he kidnapped a woman and a three-month-old baby from the scene of the crime and then drove to mississippi. that is where he turned himself counts of capital murder for the deaths of five adults and an unborn child. fraternity brother is dead and for others behind bars and policing college station police -- believe the student died of an accidental overdose. officers found the 19-year-old and responsible at -- unresponsive at the sigma nu house sunday morning. the fraternity says it's

huge. he doesn't know he's a big dog. he doesn't have big dog tendencies. >> he is a large male. they are greyhounds. he is on the large side however but he doesn't know that. he thinks he is a puppy and a lapdog. as you can see he's very comfortable leaning on people but we tell people that greyhounds are like big cats. they want to sleep 16 hours a day and curl warm lap and they want to rest and play every few minutes. minus the litter box. >> digger just turned five. he really needs a home and recently retired so we need to find him a nice home where he can play in a yard or does not have to have a fenced yard. he can go on a leash. he likes to go for walks. not too far. around the block.

hurricanes and 2 to 4 category three or higher. now we are saying not happening in the gulf of mexico. nothing going on in the caribbean but in the atlantic we're seeing bubbling up including this one. this is fiona. still a tropical storm and it won't get much stronger. it will curve and go into the atlantic. the one over here is looking a little bit more promising for development. the hurricane center says it development over the next five days. there's another storm that has just now rolled off the african coast line and it is not even getting the spaghetti models yet but it looks like it has an 80% chance of development. we will keep an eye on things and let you know how that goes. nothing to worry about yet we're still watching the tropics carefully.

we have 79 and sunshine in inverness. 82 along the beach in venice with winds now out of the east at 3. the sea breeze will pick up and we will watch the sea breeze form showers along the coast. along that i-75 corridor by 1:00. widely scattered and i will put it at 20% coverage. throughout the inland areas. all of this will push to the east and by 3:00 we could see some areas of heavier rain around the hard rock and orient road area towards brandon and hillsborough county. discontinuing to the east until we see a drain out later on in the evening. we will call for mostly clear skies for st. petersburg and winds out of the southwest at 90. limited rains for tampa as we
